Background:
Current basketball display boards we find in the market include:
Game score, game clock and offense status.
The display is lighted by 7 segments and a keyboard is used to control the display board.
There are several kinds of systems, some wired and some wireless.
This project is a wired basketball display board.
My system includes all this and in addition in the end of the game, an SMS message will be sent, with the final result of the game, to all the telephone numbers that were pre-determined by the database of the system.
Project Goals:
The project goal is to create and build a new design for the display board of a basketball game.
As before, the display board will show game score, game clock, 24 seconds clock and offense status, but will now include a cellular modem, that will send the final result of the game by SMS message to the cellular device, of all the members, anywhere in the world.
The system works with a micro pic16f877 controller which will enable the following activities, we will see on the display:
· Points accumulated by each team.
· Game time clock, 24 seconds clock and a time-out clock.
· Amount of offenses, or fouls, from each team.
· Will activate the siren for the end of every quarter, the end of each time-out and will hook up between the secretary's office and the game judges.
· Sending of SMS with the final result of the game.
· The game time will be managed by an internal timer in the controller.
·
Results
The system is convenient and user-friendly.

סיכום דגם המערכת שפותח ונבנה עומד בכל דרישות הצעת הפרויקט שהשתי בתחילת הפרויקט .המערכת שפותחה היא קלה וידידותית למשתמש ומאפשרת פונקציונאליות וגמישות מירבית להמשך הפיתוח . הדגם שנבנה הוא אב-טיפוס לרעיון . בהמשך ניתן להמשיך לפתח את הרעיון ולהביאו לידי מוצר מוגמר ומושלם לצורך שיווקו ומכירתו.
